The University of Konkerbury is the fictional setting of our radio sitcom ‘Konkers’ and its various associated spin-off films. This website offers an online presence for the series as a parody of an academic website.
Not only did this provide us with an opportunity to advertise the series and extend its fictional world, but it also gave us the chance to satirise the visual design style of prospectuses and promotional material which, as students, we were then surrounded by.
Much like the radio series that inspired it, the Konkerbury website represents Richard Dadd’s ambition growing out of control and taking over other people’s lives. The site is now a comprehensive guide to the radio series and the fictional world of its setting. It also boasts a Listen Again player, a Guest Book, a host of videos and a wealth of bonus material.
