It presents a bare and honest view of Chaucer College, without any deceitful, prospectusy smokescreens. This insular, well-hidden college is a bit of a mystery to most of Canterbury’s community, so this film aims to discover the opinions and experiences of its students, who travel halfway across the world for oily food and curfews.
Unusually, the University of Kent opted not to include this film on that year’s DVD of films made by students of the multimedia course. Make of that what you will.
Note: This was going to be the first ever film made under the banner of ‘The Bakery,’ however Al and Max were out-voted by the other students hence the ‘Black Box Productions’ guff. As with most student group projects it’s fair to say that not everyone pulled their weight on this. Put it this way: we’re perfectly happy to consider this part of The Bakery’s portfolio.
